Vision: "Reaching Out; In And Out Of The Church; Winning Souls Bringing Them In That They Might Be Fed."

In the past ten years, we have seen the Fellowship grow from strength to strength through spiritually-enriching programmes and activities. With all the needed structures firmly grounded, the Fellowship became ready for the mission field.
In retrospect, the Fellowship seemed more inclined toward School Ministry, because during that period, there were more students than workers in its fold.

Men's Fellowship - (Manet) PDF  | Print |  E-mail
At an extra-ordinary meeting convened by Mr. Moses Tetteh and Akwetey Darko on Sunday 15th June 2003, the need to form a Men’s Fellowship in the Manet Chapel was effectively tabled. By popular acclamation, nucleus executives were chosen with Mr. Richard Okrah as President and Tony Djentuh as Secretary. After the initial teething problems John Emmanuel Amakye was elected as Vice President, George Asasa treasures, Nick Smart- Yeboah Organizing Secretary and Roland Akosah Welfare Officer.

The Fellowship was inaugurated on Sunday, 18th January 2004 by Rev. Dr. Ayete- Nyampong who was the Presbyterian Chaplain of the Accra Ridge Church, assisted by Mr. Out- Boateng the Chairman of Accra Ridge Council. The inauguration was a real challenge to the men of the Manet chapel. The activities and enthusiasm of the Manet Women’s Fellowship were a real bench-mark and challenge to the men. The membership at the inauguration was only fifteen (15). The membership now is forty-two (42) but the active members still hover around fifteen (15).

During the past two years of the Men’s Fellowship, a number of achievements and innovations were chalked:

The men acknowledged the importance of women, for the matter mothers. On Mothers‘Day each year, the day is celebrated at Manet chapel. Gifts are given to all mothers and potential mothers. It has always been a joy to watch our respectable mother’s receiving gifts from their husbands, father’s, uncles and sons over the years.

Men's Fellowship (Ridge) PDF  | Print |  E-mail

The Accra Ridge Church Men’s Fellowship (ARCMF) was started in 1986 exactly 50 years after the founding of the Accra Ridge Church.

Instrumental in the formation of the ARCMF were the late Rev. Prof. Emeritus E. G. Baeta and Mrs. Frances Ademola, a past chairman of the Ridge Church Council who offered encouragement.
From the inception of the ARCMF up to the end of the year 2005 there have been 9 executive committees chaired by viz:
Bro. Y. Engman                           Bro. E. Abbah-Foli
Bro. J. Y. N. Adjettey                 Bro. Nii Ayi Coleman
Bro. George Segbawu                  Bro. Nii Lomote Engman
Late Bro Nutsugah                        Bro. Hans Roth
Bro Sam Quist

The immediate past Chairman. The term of office was changed from the maximum of 3 to 2 years when the Fellowship’s Bye Laws were adopted. This was done to bring it in line with that of the Church Council.

As stipulated in the Bye Laws, membership of the Accra Ridge Church Men’s Fellowship is open to any male member of the Accra Ridge Church who is 18 years and above. All Ministers of the participating churches are ex-officio members and lady members of the Accra Ridge Church are also welcome as honorary members.

The motto of the ARCMF is CHRISTIAN FELLOWSHIP AND SERVICE which encompasses the aims and objectives of the group and the slogan of the ARCMF; “CHRIST IN YOU” the response is “THE HOPE OF GLORY”

In view of the importance of the spiritual and physical well-being of our members, these are reflected in our activities in conjunction with contributions from the welfare committee.

To know the will of GOD and to live a life worthy of the Lord we have BIBLE STUDY on the second Monday of each month whenever possible. For divine guidance at our General Meetings held on the last Monday of each month, devotion precedes everything else.
We also join voices at our meetings, with fellow believers and lift our hearts in singing hymns of praise whenever we have the privilege. This is honoring to the Lord and edifying to our brothers in Christ. Our Annual Fellowship Week celebrations are held in October. For the latter, a different theme is chosen every year.

Mindful of our responsibility to the RIDGE COMMUNITY- the ARCMF helped in improving the services of the kitchen of the Ridge Hospital in the 1980’s and quite recently, in the year 2004 provided a water stand for a pre- existing water tank. This made it possible for water to flow to the female ward of the hospital.

Going farther afield, office furniture was provided for the Principal of the Trinity Theological Seminary.

A vital contribution to the Manet Branch of the Ridge Church is the provision of the CROSS at the entrance of the church. We thank GOD for this memorial by the ARCMF.

 On the southern end of the outer part of the Ridge Church are three benches presented by the ARCMF in 1997 and not far from them is the commemorative FELLOWSHIP TREE planted in 1986 which contributes to the coolness of the area.

Coming to the inside of the church, the ARCMF has provided a coffin trolley and a screen. On a more pleasant note is the provision of the FIRST AID CENTRE – temporarily located in the Lay Vestry behind the sanctuary.

The latest week-long Annual Fellowship celebration week took place from October 17-23, 2005, to commemorate the 19th anniversary of the Men’s Fellowship.

The Metropolitan Archbishop of the Roman Catholic Church, his Grace Oboubisa Palmer-Buckle was the Guest Speaker at a public lecture organized by the Men’s Fellowship to start off the celebrations. His talk was titled “Faithfulness to God” Archbishop Palmer-Buckle explained that faithfulness is the same as fidelity, and that faithfulness means to be full of the virtue of faith, a quality which encourages trust. A faithful person is one who fulfills his or her promises.
Other activities during the week were a Bible Exposition on “Faithfulness”, a symposium on Parenting and a Retreat for members on October 22nd. The celebrations ended with a thanksgiving service on the 23rd of October 2005.

During the service members of the Accra Ridge Church Men’s Fellowship presented a sketch based on “The Faithfulness of Abraham”. Another significant event was the outdooring of our brand- new Fellowship Cloth and the presentation of a communion table cloth set and coffin cover. These were dedicated during the service.

As we move forward in the strength of the Lord, especially in the 70th Anniversary Year of the Church those who have been dragging their feet about joining the Accra Ridge Church Men’s Fellowship should make haste and be counted.

The ARCMF takes this opportunity to congratulate the Accra Ridge Church on the occasion of its 70th Anniversary Celebrations and to wish it more spiritual and Physical development in the coming years.
Chairman
Dr. Sam Quist
2004 and 2005

1. Introduction
Accra Ridge Church Women's Fellowship is a Christian, non-profit-making group, open to women of all ages of the Accra Ridge Church. It is one of the oldest groups in the church, which was started at the end of 1953, metamorphosed through the 'Ladies Group' in 1969, and finally changed over to the name, Women's Fellowship, in 1980. Our objectives are to:

• Promote sisterly love and Christian fellowship among members;
• Help members to know His word more;
• See to the welfare of the Accra Ridge Church and its members;
• Help care for the needy in society.
We recite our pledge at meetings to remind and help us commit ourselves to the objec¬tives.
